以往由于“废序”“疑经”的经学史叙事与分析视域成为经典模式,对两宋《诗经》学递嬗理路与风格特质的体认造成了一定程度的遮蔽。实际两宋《诗经》学显示出一种类似战国诸子之风到汉儒经师之学的嬗变,从北宋欧阳修、王安石等学者兴起的各立新说、纵横争鸣到南宋诸儒守正崇理、力求统摄。以朱熹为代表的南宋儒者从作者意识和身份认同上严明文士与儒者之别,排斥北宋欧、苏等经学。同时南宋诸儒一度重新推崇汉唐注疏、重提汉儒家法,体现出一种对汉代经师之学的回归。正视这一递嬗理路,将更好消解“疑经变古”说所存在的一种似是而非的逻辑困境,即宋人无论是文本上的辨伪考据、驳正旧学,还是义理上的阐发建构、内化超越,指向的都是维护经学的权威性与普适性。
The idea of “rejection of the Mao Prefaces”废序 and “skepticism toward the Classics”疑经 becomes a common excuse to explain the evolution and style of the study on
the Book of Songs
诗经 in Song Dynasty. In fact, the study of
the Book of Songs
in Song Dynasty exhibits a transformation analogous to that from the intellectual currents of the Warring States philosophers to the classical scholarship of Confucian masters in the
Han Dynasty. From the Northern Song, with scholars such as Ouyang Xiu欧阳修, Wang Anshi王安石 and other scholars contending with each other and expressing their views, to the Southern Song, where Confucian scholars adhered to orthodoxy and ideological unity, the evolution is evident. Southern Song Confucians, represented by Zhu Xi朱熹, drew a clear distinction between literati and Confucians based on the perspective of authorship and identity, rejecting the classical scholarship of Northern Song figures such as Ouyang and Su Shi苏轼. Meanwhile, Southern Song Confucians at one point revived admiration for Han and Tang commentaries and annotations, and re-endorsed the disciplines of Han Confucians, reflecting a return to the scholarship of Confucian classics in Han Dynasty. Recognizing this trajectory of evolution will better resolve the seemingly paradoxical logic dilemma underlying the theory of “skepticism toward the Classics”, that is, scholars in the Song Dynasty aim to uphold the authority and universality of Confucian learning, whether in textual criticism, the refutation of old interpretations, or in the exposition, construction, and internalization of semantics.
